Great Indian food. I had the Aloo Gobi spicy hot. Naan was delicious. Service was great. I was disappointed that the buffet was only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Clean place and great tasting Indian food. The only downside was the soup which wasn't up to the expectations.

Tamarind must have an excellent chef working in the back of house. Their buffet is an excellent way to get introduced to Indian food – that’s how I got my wife successfully introduced to the cuisine (she can’t tolerate anything spicy). The selections on the buffet ($15) helped my wife understand that Indian dishes are very flavorful and don’t have to be spicy. We’ve been to dinner ($20) and the front of house service is very attentive and the dishes are freshly prepared. I have never been disappointed by the food or the service in this low-key restaurant.

I had spicy chicken biryani and meat samosas. Absolutely fantastic! Can’t wait to try everything else on the menu.

Because I worked in the restaurants business growing up. My family owned two restaurants in Denver. I rarely give reviews because there are not that many restaurants that meet the standard for a review. I've dined at many Indian restaurants in Denver but did not find one worth talking about. Tamarind is an excellent restaurant because they have a very good chef. Everything I've tried so far is very good. They not only have an excellent lunch and dinner menu but they also have an excellent buffet on Friday and Saturday (comes with a cup of chai tea and very flavorful naan bread). I am the type of person that look for quality and taste of the food instead of quantity. Don't give me a lot. I would rather you give me very little but taste excellent.
Tamarind is a must try if you want to know what excellent Indian food taste like. I've dined at many Indian restaurants in Colorado and none meet up to the taste of food quality and standard of Tamarind.
