Anyone who says Denver doesn’t do Mexican food justice hasn’t been to Mezcal.
I love this place for their amazing staff and outstanding Mexican food! Their weekly specials simply CANNOT be topped. Highly recommend any of their street tacos, and/or their massive plate of nachos. Always a treat. Enjoy!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mezcal, a captivating restaurant that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance, setting the stage for a remarkable culinary journey.
To start our meal, we ordered the Chile Rellenos and Mezcal Nachos. The Chile Rellenos were simply exquisite. The roasted poblano peppers were stuffed with a flavorful blend of cheese and spices, creating a harmonious balance of mild heat and cheesy goodness. The Mezcal Nachos, on the other hand, were a delightful twist on a classic favorite. The generous topping of gooey cheese, fresh salsa, black beans, and tangy guacamole made for an irresistible combination that had me reaching for one nacho after another.
Moving on, we indulged in the Pozole Rojo, Mezcal Burrito, and Carne a la Tampicania. The Pozole Rojo was a comforting bowl of traditional Mexican soup, brimming with tender pork, hominy, and an array of fragrant spices. It was rich, hearty, and soul-warming. The Mezcal Burrito was a true showstopper. Packed with succulent meat, rice, beans, and a medley of vibrant vegetables, each bite was bursting with flavor. Lastly, the Carne a la Tampicania was a carnivore's dream come true. The perfectly grilled steak, topped with sautéed onions and peppers, was juicy, tender, and incredibly satisfying. It also includes a good portion of Mexican rice, enchiladas, guacamole, corn tortillas, and a grilled jalapeno.
What impressed me the most about Mezcal was the consistent quality across all the dishes we tried. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were authentic, and the presentation was visually appealing. The attentive and friendly staff further elevated the dining experience, providing exceptional service throughout our visit.
With its diverse menu and consistently delicious offerings, Mezcal is undoubtedly a place I would eagerly return to. The restaurant strikes a harmonious balance between traditional Mexican cuisine and innovative twists, resulting in a memorable dining experience for any food enthusiast. Whether you're seeking classic favorites or exploring new flavors, Mezcal is a culinary gem that should not be missed.

Went as a party of three on a Tuesday lunch hour to this nice little restaurant on East Colfax that serves pretty good Mexican fare like street tacos and burritos. Tuesday happened to be Taco Tuesdays, where the usually-$15 street taco platter (three tacos, rice and beans) were only $9. I had the Korean pork belly tacos, the chicken and carnita tacos on a soft corn tortilla. The tacos are not huge like in some other places, but they were very tasty and hit the spot. Parking is on the street (Colfax or nearby streets). Plenty of tables and seats - we didn't have to wait when we visited. Didn't have any alcoholic drinks, but the bar looks like a well-stocked one with lots of variety. Recommended definitely for the food!

I’ve been to this place at least ten times since it’s around the corner from my house, and I keep promising myself I won’t go back. I don’t understand how it has good reviews. Their margaritas are decent and I do really like their salsa trio, but that’s about it. I’ve ordered most of the menu by now, and it’s just bad. The meat is overcooked across the board, and the chips are almost always stale. The place itself has a nice vibe and the servers are really great, but the food has been repeatedly disappointing.

The food was very good and the only reason I am giving a 3 star rating is because they served us chip and salsa automatically, without asking us, then had the nerve to charge us $6 for it. I would still go back cause the Chile rellenos were good but again, most Mexican restaurants give chips and salsa for free. We went at like 6pm on a Wednesday so it wasn’t like it was breakfast or anything.
