The restaurant is a bit unassuming. We were greeted by a few employees, arriving a few minutes before 11:00am. Service was exceptional. But their menus did not compare to what was on their website - they had many dishes. For me, this seems to dilute their products. We ordered the combination plates (Beef Taco, Cheese Enchilada, Tamale) and (Beef Burrito, Cheese Enchilada, Chile Rellenos). The food was OK. It was better than some places, worse than a lot of places.

Let me preface this by stating that I had not been here since late 2020. I came with a friend who lived in Elizabeth and we were still wearing masks. It could have been early 2021, but not later than that as my friend died from Covid-19 later that year. I don't remember being "wow'd" by the food or atmosphere back then and just assumed the quality was a reflection of the times with second string cooks, supply chain issues forcing different suppliers to bring in food, etc. Boy, was I wrong. Apparently, being less than mediocre is par-for-course for Las Delicias. Let me explain: I arrived at about 12:30PM on a Saturday and told the host that I was expecting a friend to join me. He sat me at a table right next to the kitchen, which I guess was okay. Not ideal, of course, but okay. He left me with two menus and silverware sets. The waitress came over and I ordered a Pepsi and waited. before my friend joined me, the waitress had returned numerous times to see if I was ready to order. No, I wasn't. In that time, though, I'd finished by Pepsi and she never once offered to refill it. My friend arrived and the waitress was back to see if we were ready to order. No, we weren't. I'd placed the empty Pepsi cup next to the edge of the table so she couldn't miss it, but she apparently did. A few moments later I caught our waitress's eye in an attempt to have her come over to the table, but she didn't get the hint. I knew she'd be by eventually, though, based on previous behavior. When she finally did glance my way I tapped my glass to hint that I needed a refill. She gave me a look I can only describe as irritated and refilled my cup. My friend ordered the beef enchilada deluxe plate and I ordered the plain beef enchilada plate. The waitress did try to clarify if I wanted the deluxe as well and I said, no, just the regular. A few minutes later the guy came out with two plates and called mine cheese enchiladas. I said it's supposed to be beef and he advised that I cut it up and check. Turns out, if you cut their enchiladas you might be able to find some scraps of meat in there ... somewhere. My friend also couldn't find any beef in her enchiladas. Plus, the food looked awful. A minute later, neither of us had taken a bite and the waitress came over to ask if everything was okay. I said, "No." She asked, "So, everything's fine?" Sigh. "No." She asked, "What's wrong?" At this point I let it all out. "The salsa tastes like it came from a jar, the food looks subpar and there's not enough beef in these enchiladas to even consider calling them "beef enchiladas." She did ask if I wanted her to replace the enchiladas with new ones and I said, "Actually, no. I don't want to eat any of this. I'll pay for the sodas and leave." She looked shocked and I repeated myself. My friend breathed a sigh of relief. "We're not eating here?" she asked. "I'm not," I responded. The waitress said she'd cover the Pepsis and we left. Went down the street a different Mexican place that wasn't so depressing, had a great lunch. No need to ever return to Las Delicias IV.

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Las Delicias, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The atmosphere was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel like part of the family. Now, let's talk about the food. It was simply amazing! I can confidently say that it's the best Mexican cuisine I have ever had. Every dish was bursting with flavor and made with the utmost care. And let me tell you about Ivan's Margaritas - they are out of this world! The perfect blend of flavors and just the right amount of kick. Despite being tucked away on Main Street in Parker, finding this hidden gem is absolutely worth it. The combination of the friendly atmosphere, incredible food, and Ivan's Margaritas make it a must-visit restaurant. I have become a regular for life, and I can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience. Thank you, Las Delicias, for providing such an exceptional dining experience. You have truly set the bar high for Mexican cuisine in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a warm, welcoming atmosphere."

Okay, let me start by saying I’ve been going to Las Delicias for over 30 years, starting at the one on 9th Avenue. We now go to the one on Colorado Blvd but more frequently this one in Parker because of convenience. We always like the food and the one time it wasn’t the best, Ivan (I think he’s the manager) made it right. Ivan is awesome. All the waitresses/ waiters and other staff are awesome. My issue is with another manager, I believe, but I can’t remember his name. He is at the register a lot with a beard and never friendly. Typically I let it slide, but tonight this guy was straight up rude. No words spoken, no eye contact and the only reason he said a forced, “thank you” was because my husband said it first and still no eye contact, smile, nada. It’s almost like he feels that he is doing us a favor by taking our $$. How about we do you an even bigger favor and take our years of business elsewhere. I bit my tongue barely because I had my kids there and it was busy, but next time there will be no holding my tongue and I’ll be calling him out. All the years we’ve gone to your restaurant and $$ spent, not cool. The manager at the Glendale restaurant is completely opposite, so friendly and welcoming. This guy needs to take a page out of his book. On another note, thank you to all the NICE and FRIENDLY staff and always being so welcoming.
