Food was great. We had the lunch special of open-faced Roast beef with garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes were real! The service was awesome. They treated our family well and was very kind and engaging with the kids. Definitely a place to eat and come back again. God Bless.
This is a solid local breakfast place. I had the Cindy Lou and it was tasty. With breakfast dishes that have gravy, it makes them or breaks them, and I was good with their version. Trish was our server, and not only was her picture on the wall next to our table, but she was energetic and extremely efficient. She has been there 27 years, and I hope you have the good luck of her serving you. Bears line the walls, and even better that we saw a local bear the day before. If you are choosing a breakfast place in town, know that we were happy with our choice to check them out.
This banana split crepe is to die for. I am not super adventurous, but I gave it a shot and I'm so glad I did. My husband and I liked it so much we came back 2 days in a row. The service is slow right now due to being short staffed, but I promise this crepe is worth the wait!
I'm pretty sure the Fried chicken cutlets are frozen and baked. The corn had no flavor on it and it had the water in the cup. The chicken fried steak was thin. Everything tasted good except the corn.
We love the Hungry Bear! It is a "must do" on all of our trips to Woodland Park. Food is always good and my favorite is the Cindy Lou. We've only had breakfast here, but they serve lunch too. Can't go wrong with a stop at the Hungry Bear!
