El Tepehuan is a family-owned restaurant, with tasty food, friendly service, and bright ambiance.
This Englewood restaurant was started by a family of Mexican Tepehuan (Indian) from Chihuahua and Durango.
Go enjoy food there and support El Tepehuan.

Went for lunch today. I had the chicken chimichanga and a blue margarita. Service was amazing and quick. Food was delicious and not too spicy at all.

I have been eating here since I was a kid. Today is the first time I have been truly disappointed. I ordered by way of a second party vendor. Had to cancel the delivery order because the time quoted to deliver was over 2 hours. Rescheduled a pickup order, and when I arrived, was told that they couldn't fulfill my pickup order through the vendor and I would have to pay and wait for my food to be prepared. While I was waiting for my food they were talking with the vendor-- I asked them to let the vendor know I needed to be refunded (this did not occur). I then had to contact the vendor myself after returning to my office to work because it still had not been refunded.
While I understand this is not fully the restaurants fault, this was a serious service issue that resulted in a lot of lost time on my part and almost made me late for a patient. You should have definitely had the order ready to go and made efforts to contact me to let me know my food would not be there on pick up. If I had waited for the 2 hour delivery and then the driver had not been able to pick up my order I would have just been going without lunch.
When I got back to my office and opened the food, I was sad to see that there was hardly any chile on my burrito and really no pork to speak of in the chile.
I am very disappointed by this visit and do not know if I will return despite 30+ years of eating here. Very, very disappointing.

Excellent, authentic Mexican restaurant here in downtown Englewood. We’ve been coming here for a few years and the food and service is always consistent. The chips and salsa are great. l really like the homemade chips and the salsa has a great flavor and texture. If you love chili rellanos like I do, then this place makes the best! The pork green chili on top is great- has chunks of shredded pork and the chili isn’t too spicy, very authentic tasting. It’s got a Tex Mex style to it. Ever since owners moved down the street to this location, there is so much seating available. We’ve never had to wait for a table. I definitely recommend stopping in. Other entrees we’ve tried are the enchiladas and carne asada burrito, they’ve all been great.
